What is an activity?
It´s a walk, a run or a ride. You can create your activities and share your experience, or join available dates (sessions) or request a new date (it depends on the activity settings).
What type of informations should be included in my activities?
You must select the activity type (walk, run or ride), give it a name, choose a meeting point, specify the distance or the duration of the activity and to schedule it. You can also add a description of the activity, upload a map track, photos and a video, define the average pace and the number of guests, etc.
Is it possible to approve who can join my activity?
Yes, in the activity settings you must specify the activity requires your approval. And if so, the exact location of the meeting point it only be visible for those you approve to join your activity.
Can I create an activity visible only for people in my network?
Yes, and any other users won’t be able to see your activity.
Is it possible to create an activity only for one day/hour?
Yes, and anytime you can add new dates or recurring sessions (e.g. every Monday at 18:00, every Saturday at 09:00 and 14:00).
I don’t want to schedule my activity but I would like to allow other users to suggest a date for the activity - is it possible?
Yes, you can allow custom sessions requests on the activity settings. These requests must be approved by you.
How can I upload a map track?
You can upload a GPX file or you can import a map track from Strava.
Will I get notifications when somebody creates a new activity?
Yes. By default you will get mobile push notifications but the email notifications are turned off. You can activate it in your WALK-RUN-RIDE account settings.
Can I set the location area of where I want to get new activities notifications?
Yes. By default your location, and in a radius of 200km, is used to identify your geographical area. Anytime you can change the location and the radius in your WALK-RUN-RIDE account settings.
Will I get notifications for any type of activity created in my location area?
No, you will only get notifications of the chosen activities (walk, run or ride) in your profile settings.
Can I send messages to other users?
Yes. If somebody joins your activity or if somebody creates an activity, it’s possible to send a message through the activity page. If you want to send a direct message you must be connected to the person (My Network).
Can I rate my experience?
Yes. WALK-RUN-RIDE allows you to review the experience as a host, rating the guests of your activity, or as a guest rating somebody else’s activity.
